Collaboratively developed a browser-extension security platform as cybersecurity mentees under IEEE Young Prodigy Elevate, mentored by Mr. Clarence Samuel. Contributed a permission-based risk assessment module for identifying high-risk extensions and an optional AI security agent using Google ADK and Gemini for automated extension analysis, investigation, historical risk analysis, and security report generation. Developed a proof-of-concept pre-commit security system integrating Gitleaks to detect and prevent accidental exposure of secrets during Git commits. Implemented automated repository hygiene and validation checks using pre-commit hooks, and tested the configuration against various secret-detection and commit scenarios to evaluate its effectiveness for adoption in Mozilla SLIIT repositories. Participated in the Build with AI Sri Lanka 2026 Buildathon, where our team developed an AI-powered learning assistant focused on helping users understand cybersecurity fundamentals through an interactive and accessible experience, building upon the concepts and techniques taught during the sessions and leveraging the Agent Development Kit (ADK).
