  • Tideway Volunteering:
  • Throughout my sailing experience, I have volunteered at a local sailing club that specialises in providing sailing opportunities for disabled and older people. My responsibilities included assisting participants in boarding and disembarking specially adapted boats, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout activities, and supporting instructors during sailing sessions. This role strengthened my teamwork, patience, adaptability, and communication skills while reinforcing the importance of accessibility, inclusion, and helping others gain confidence through sport.
  • Volunteered to help in youth clubs, navigating challenges and effectively engaging with children to foster a positive environment, significantly impacting community outreach and support for close to 100 local residents who regularly attend.
Training
  • Participated in training for restorative justice, collaborating with professors and lead academics to enhance the curriculum and facilitate the training of 52 participants representing Italy, RJ4ALL Cyprus, Tanzania, Kenya, and Austria.
  • CCF Camp and Adventure Training: Participated in Combined Cadet Force (CCF) camp and adventure training, where I developed a wide range of military and leadership skills. Received instruction in skills at arms, fieldcraft, navigation, teamwork, and tactical planning while operating in demanding environments. The experience strengthened my leadership abilities, resilience, discipline, and decision-making under pressure, teaching me how to remain calm, think critically, and work effectively as part of a team in challenging situations.
  • Peer Mediation and Conflict Resolution
  • In Year 6, I was elected to the School Council, demonstrating the trust and confidence my peers and teachers placed in me. I was also selected as one of the school's first Peer Mediators, receiving specialised training in conflict resolution and communication. In this role, I helped younger students resolve disagreements fairly and respectfully. I later built upon these skills through my work with RJ4ALL, further developing my understanding of restorative justice, mediation techniques, active listening, and constructive conflict resolution in both educational and community settings.
