Conducted a 10-week pre/post-test designed feasibility study with 15 children aged 8-15 with varied levels of disability, introducing and running sessions with Smart Fit equipment. This research was run alongside the summer camp ran at the facility where we worked closely with faculty to ensure the most effective transitions.
Completed a pre/post-test designed study where we tested whether a mindfulness meditation exercise would have affect on relaxation scores compared to a general parental interaction between a father and child through Qualtrics. Although the quantifiable data was inconclusive due to participant attrition, open response data suggests that parent/child interaction induced more calm and relaxing thoughts than was reported for the mindfulness exercises did.
