AAPC
  • I completed my medical coding classes and passed the exam in April 2026. I am currently using Practicode to gain some valuable experience in the field. I am also actively working through the AAPC medical billing courses so I can sit for the exam very soon. I am planning to take more courses through AAPC to become certified in additional areas and advance my career in this field. My ongoing education in this field means I am up to date on all relevant codes and updated guidelines.
Volunteer Work
CASA Sacramento

I began volunteering as a CASA (court-appointed special advocate) in the summer of 2019. I have had the opportunity to meet and help a few individuals in foster care, and I have learned a lot of valuable information about at-risk youth and underserved communities. As a CASA, I went through 6 weeks of training and have been sworn in by the court as an officer of the court. I am paired with a youth in foster care and spend time with them. I am there for support and to assist them with anything they might need. I prepare court reports for their cases, and I am an advocate for their needs and best interests.

Puppy Foster

In May of 2021, I started volunteering with Hearts For Paws animal rescue and later Bruno's Foundation. I am still an active puppy foster, and my family and I have cared for and assisted over 80 puppies in finding their forever homes. It is very rewarding and brings joy into our home.
