Liam Barlow

Sales Assistant

Experienced and highly motivated professional with a strong background in team leadership, operational responsibility, health and safety, customer service and working to procedures in busy environments. Now seeking the opportunity to retrain and develop a long-term career within the electricity and energy industry through an apprenticeship with UK Power Networks. I have extensive experience working in roles where safety, organisation, attention to detail and following established procedures are essential. As a Site Manager with Cignpost Diagnostics, I coordinated a team of around 20 staff and supported the safe and efficient operation of a busy site serving up to 600 people. I have also developed practical experience of risk assessment, incident and accident recording, COSHH documentation, staff training records and operational compliance. I am naturally curious and enjoy understanding how things work and solving problems. I am keen to develop practical and technical skills and learn from experienced colleagues. I am reliable, organised and comfortable working as part of a team, taking responsibility and working under pressure. I am particularly attracted to an apprenticeship because it would allow me to learn a skilled trade properly, gain recognised qualifications and build a long-term career while contributing to an organisation that provides an essential service.
