Executive Director

I have 13 years of diversified experience across NGO sectors and government offices, including 10 years in leadership and program management roles within national and international NGOs. I have served as Executive Director, Program Head, Humanitarian Response Head, Project Coordinator, and Officer, as well as PHCUD and OPD Nurse in government health centers. My expertise spans the design, implementation, monitoring, and grant management of development and emergency projects in Peace building and Conflict Resolution between ethnic groups of Afar and Somali/Issa community project funded by International Republican Institute  (IRI),   Nutrition, Health, WaSH, ESNFI, Education, CP/GBV, Livelihood and Food Security, Women’s Economic Empowerment, and SBCC. Since August 2024, I have been serving as the Executive Director of Holistic Relief Organization (HRO). Prior to this, from 2017 to July 2024, I worked with Action for Social Development and Environmental Protection Organization (ASDEPO), a leading national NGO, most recently serving as Programs Director and Humanitarian Program Head. During this period, I managed and coordinated more than 20 emergency and development projects annually, supported by UN agencies, INGOs, and consortiums. My experience includes emergency response, refugee and IDP programming, and interventions in nutrition, health, food distribution, and protection. I have also represented organizations in ICCG, ABTWG, SAG, and national/subnational cluster coordination forums and worked closely with government stakeholders at federal, regional, zonal, and woreda levels.
